Where is the runescape line

So it was confirmed at RuneFest that the loser of the next World Event between Armadyl and Bandos will result in the death of one rs gold.

Fantastic, right? Not really, let's break it down;

1. For starters, it's 100% unfair to anyone who follows a god that isn't Saradomin or Zaros. Look at how bad Zamorak got blown out of the water, and he's a MUCH more popular god than Bandos. I can't tell you I know how World Event 2 will go down, I'm not from the future. I can tell you, however, that it's entirely unfair to kill a god based on popular choice.

2. Okay, so now we're killing gods based on what people decide. Awesome. What happens when we get down to the final 1 or 2 gods? RuneScape's story has always largely been tied into gods. Someone trying to get more power for some god. Well, that's not much good when the god is suddenly dead.

3. What exactly is the point of having a "Godless" faction?

4. It's really lore-breaking to keep killing off gods. Yeah, it's probably pretty cool to have one die ON VERY RARE occasions. These are supposed to be powerful, mythical beings of immense power, but now they're going to be killed off one after the other?

5. Killing Guthix was epic. I'm a Guthixian and it was epic. It was epic because it was totally unexpected. Killing gods left and right just defeats the purpose of actually having gods die. When Guthix died, there were weeks of "Mourning for Guthix" events, Solomon items, etc. Are we going to do the same thing everytime a god loses a popularity contest?

I mean, in summary, please Jagex, stop having such a hardon for killing Runescape Gold. The first time it was epic, it was unexpected, and it was drastically world-changing. Now it's cheesy, overhyped, gimmicky, and unfair to whoever loses the popularity contest. Just stop.
